2017 Summer Playground Program
July 4 - August 18, 2017
Every summer, children 6 to 12 years of age are invited to take part in a fun-filled summer of FREE activities at 10 different playground locations throughout the City. Each playground is staffed by two qualified and trained playground supervisors.
The summer’s seven-week playground program includes cooperative games, crafts, songs, stories, sports and much more. Activities focus on a different theme every week, and special events are also planned "off the playgrounds" for all kids to enjoy.
The program also offers free of charge a summer sports program, an arts program and a cultural program. Specialized playleaders travel from playground to playground offering the children different sporting and craft activities.
The hours of operation for the playground programs are as follows:
Monday to Thursday 12:00 noon to 5:30 p.m.
Friday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Every year, the City of Prince Albert Playground Program receives a large quantity of recyclables which are used for arts and craft projects on the playgrounds over the summer. Your continued help in donating the following clean recycled items (and other great odds and ends) are greatly appreciated.
However, we ask that you be selective; please don't clean out your basement!
Please deliver items to:
Margo Fournier Centre
1211 - 1st Avenue West
Donations are accepted from March 1st to June 30th each year.
